When I was young we used to answer the phone "Joe's Bar n Grill" to actually see a places named this was epic. When we walked in I didn't know if we should be more dressed up or wear hunting attire. Almost like a husband saying he wants to open a bar an grill and the wife said, you need to add some class. Lol. Taxidermy fowl and heads lined the walls and hung from the ceiling. Then there were cloth tablecloths and cloth napkins and a cute crackers and cream cheese ball on the table. Enough about decor. We had Mediterranean chicken and evening special Atlantic salmon wild rice. Very good. Complimentary warm loaf of bread, yum. You will pay more than average grill prices but it was good. Our server was busy but thorough. Small parking lot, reservations are a good option.

Try to sit out back where you don't need a reservation. Great view with a great server named Hailey. We had a reservation in the porch out back but walking thru it was so hot - outside so much better. Food was great. Chicken Joe's was the best meal my dad said he had in nearly 20 years in the area. My salmon (a special) was great. Huge salad options too. A cool spot all around.

This was our final stop on our vacation and probably the dinner winner of the week. VERY close to where we were staying, so personal extra points on that. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended if not necessary. It was a nice night out, so we got to eat out on the open porch which was very nice. Service was above and beyond. Everyone was attentive, courteous and knowledgeable. Top notch through and through. To start, we went with the ribs. The sauce on them was excellent. A citrus base with a kick. Meat was tender and almost at the point of falling off the bone. Excellent cooking time. For dinner I got the special; Mahi Mahi Neptune which was Mahi Mahi with shrimp and scallops. Everything was fresh and perfectly done. My wife and the kid got steaks (filets). My pictures of those didn't come out well but I tried my wife's and it was very good. Her's came with a spicy sauce to dip it in and it complemented the tender filet perfectly. This is a must try if in the area. You won't be disappointed.

If you're looking for a good locally owned spot in Myrtle beach check out Joe's bar and grill. Located in an old house alongside the marsh, Joe's provides a laid back atmosphere to enjoy dinner. Our waiter was fantastic and brought us fresh bread along with a cream cheese/vegetable dip for starters which was truly addictive. I chose the steak au poivre which was an 8oz filet mignon coated with coarsely cracked peppercorns & topped with a brandy & Dijon cream sauce. The steak was cooked to my liking and I could have eaten the cream sauce alone it was so good. When you order a steak it comes with your choice of salad alongside their red potatoes. While I enjoyed these, I do wish there were more options in choosing sides for the price point. I also enjoyed one of their summer drinks alongside their lemon blueberry cheesecake which rounded off my meal.
